Leadership Wimmera was established in 2002 and stimulates, facilitates and sustains regional leadership. Programs, mentoring, networking and skills development enhance regional development through leadership.
Melissa, Central Grampians LLEN’s Program Manager, is excited to develop her leadership skills next year from local professionals and others from the community. Central Grampians LLEN is a community organization, focused on keeping young people engaged with schooling, training, or employment.
Melissa oversees all of CGLLEN’s programs and manages program staff. She is also the SWL portal manager, as well as the contact for CGLLEN and Federation University Australia’s Bachelor of Social Science course.
The Regional Leadership Program, to which Melissa has been accepted to participate in, enables participants to identify, design and implement a leadership project in their workplace or community.
The program culminates in presentations, where each team reports key findings and recommendations to project sponsors, Leadership Wimmera Committee and participating local government agencies.
Melissa is looking forward to the Weekend Retreat in February 2018 and Leadership Day in October 2018.
