Central Grampians LLEN hosted a horror disco in Stawell last week to mark the end of Victorian Youth Week. This week is about celebrating young people, something which is core to Central Grampians LLEN’s practices. Prior to the disco, CGLLEN hosted two other youth week events including a pool party and a 3 X 3 basketball tournament.
The Stawell Town Hall Entertainment Centre welcomed a number of young people to dance their hearts out in a spooky themed dance event. As they entered the building, young people were greeted by horror-themed decorations and a sign warning them ‘Enter If You Dare’. Young people dressed up as their favourite horror characters and grooved under the black light and glow in the dark decorations.
DJ Ace and DJ Cardiac Choas, two young DJs, set the mood for an excellent night of tunes and dancing. Central Grampians LLEN provided sustenance for all the young dancers in the form of pizzas and popcorn. Young people were awarded prizes for best dressed and best dancers as the night came to a close.
Central Grampians LLEN would like to thank all the young people who came to participate in this Victorian Youth Week event. And a special thank-you goes out to young photographer Cherysh for documenting the night. Cherysh was one of the winners of last year’s FReeZA photography competition.
