We were so excited to hand out not one, but two SWL Awards this week to some well deserving people.
The Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) Awards are extended to young people who have completed their SWL placements and have acquired work in their chosen field of study.
SWL is an exciting program for students and employers to get involved in. The program helps VET or VCAL students find a work placement in an area relevant to their studies. This enables them to gain hands-on experience in an industry of interest to them and that is a valuable asset for future employability.
Congratulations to Thomas Gibson and Thomas McCready, who both found work at A.F. Gason Pty Ltd in machine assembly and welding. To learn more about Gason’s two Thomases, see our Annual Report which features the full write up.
Melissa Bennet, CGLLEN’s Program Manager and SWL Manager, presented both young men with their Awards on Monday, May 29, and was proud to see what they had achieved so far. Alongside their awards, each one also received a $200 gift voucher for Auto Pro in support of their careers. Congratulations from all of us at CGLLEN, and we wish both young men all the best in their future careers.
