Celebrating National Skills Week and extending SWL Awards.
National Skills Week (August 28 – September 3) is about informing students and the wider public of the diversity and career pathways through the Vocational Education and Training sector (VET). VET courses give students hands-on practical skills that can be applied in professional workplaces, as well as enabling students to network with employers.
Central Grampians LLEN is excited to present a Structured Workplace Learning Award during National Skills Week.
Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) helps VET or VCAL students find a local workplacement in an area relevant to their studies. This enables them to gain hands-on experience in an industry of interest to their studies and is a valuable asset for future employability.
The SWL Award was presented to William, a hardworking student from Lake Bolac. The SWL Awards are extended to young people who have completed their SWL placements and have acquired work or further training in their chosen field of study.
Melissa, CGLLEN’s Program Manager and SWL Manager, presented William with his award on Tuesday August 29, and was proud to see what he had achieved so far. Alongside the award, he also received a gift voucher for Auto Pro in support of his career.
Congratulations from all of us at CGLLEN, we wish William all the best in his future career.
