Ararat L2P turns 5!

L2P turns five years old!

We’re having a party and you’re invited!

Ararat’s L2P learner driver mentor program is turning five this February. Central Grampians LLEN, who run the L2P program in Ararat Rural City, Northern Grampians Shire and Pyrenees Shire, are extending an invite to current participants of the program as well as those who are interested in knowing more to join them for afternoon tea celebrations at the Central Grampians LLEN offices.

L2P is a friendly learner driver mentor program, which helps young people aged 16 to 20 and without access to a supervising driver or vehicle to get the 120 hours of supervised driving they need for a probationary driver’s licence.

In the L2P program, learner drivers are matched with a trained mentor who can provide a positive learning environment and experience. It is a rewarding experience for those who choose to participate as mentors.

This program was developed by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and VicRoads, and is delivered by the Central Grampians LLEN in partnership with the Ararat Rural City Council, Northern Grampians Council and Pyrenees Shire Council.
