New Podcast coordinator at LenZone!

devan-2

Hello, my name is Devan!

I’m an enthusiastic 18-year-old who recently graduated from Marian College, Ararat. I am passionate about film making, music and acting. Next year I plan on studying Film and Digital Media at Deakin University, Burwood.

I hope to use my experience in these areas to work with LenZone participants in creating podcasts and vodcasts. Podcasts and vodcasts are multimedia segments (audio or video) that are broadcasted over the internet.

I am at LenZone on Wednesdays between 3.00pm and 5.00pm and look forward to running some fun activities creating digital stories on a variety of topics relevant to the young people of Ararat. I am also available to assist anyone entering into the upcoming Zones Short Film Festival by helping with editing, brainstorming a storyline, or providing general camera technique advice. If you would like to preview a movie from last year’s Zones Short Film Festival, you can watch Paper Boy at www.youtube.com/devanp16

The Zones Short Film Festival is being run by LenZone and is currently accepting entries. Entries close on March 20th, and the films will be showcased on April 3rd at Gum San. Entrants are encouraged to create films, which are centred around an issue that effects today’s youth of Ararat. The two main categories of entires are short film or animation. Short films are to be of no more than 5 minutes, and Animation 60 seconds.

I can be contacted at LenZone on 5352 3266.
