Lake Mungo Premiere

Published Jun 3, 2009

Earlier this month, Film Victoria worked with LenZone! to offer students a great opportunity to be part of the premiere screening of ‘Lake Mungo’. Students were part of the debut screening of the movie and then had a rare chance to talk with the Director and Producer.

Lake Mungo was filmed in various towns in this region and this allowed students to gain a rare insight into the production of a full-length feature film and how this was undertaken in a location like Ararat.

Director Joel Anderson and Producer Georgie Neville fielded many questions from the audience of Years 9, 10 and 12 students from Ararat College and Marian College. The students also asked questions of one of the film’s stars and the cinematographer.

The film event was made possible with the support of Film Victoria, Ararat Rural City and the Astor Cinema
