Oct 15, 2008 The Central Grampians Vocational Pathways Awards recognise the achievements of employers and students in Vocational Education and Training and Workplace Transition Programs. A celebration and awards evening was held on Tuesday September 9th at Gum San Chinese Heritage Centre. Congratulations to the students and employers who achieved awards.
Oct 11, 2008 The Zones short film festival was a celebration of the talented young people in this region. Part of National Youth Week, 7 films were shown at a gala Premiere with entries from as far as Murtoa.
Oct 8, 2008 Students from Ararat College, Marian College and Stawell Secondary College were thrown a challenge to 'Make a movie in a day.' The result was a short film entitled "Sandwich". The students experienced the realities of filming on location and that it is not all done in one take.
