Last Thursday staff and board members of the Central Grampians LLEN bid farewell to one of our longest serving staff members.
Sarah Garton commenced at CGLLEN in April 2004 as an Administration Trainee. She breezed through her Certificate III in Business Administration and quickly became a valued member of staff. Sarah became so proficient at her job that when her manager moved on to another position, she was promoted to the important role of Administration Officer.
Early in 2008, Sarah also took on the role of LenZone! Coordinator, while still continuing to be an administrative force behind the scenes. Sarah's smiling face greeted the young people of Stawell who visiied LenZone! while she also supported them to participate in a lot of activities including FReeZA and Central Connect.
This year Sarah's journey came full-circle when she became responsible for the supervision of Structured Workplace Learning student, Mel Phillips. Sarah's story reflects the work of CGLLEN and she will be greatly missed by staff, board members and the many young people who use LenZone!
We thank Sarah for her hard work and commitment over the past four and a half years and wish her well in her new job at Stawell Lotto and Books.
