My name is Miranda Scherger and I am an Ararat local who returned from the Melbourne life style to relax and concentrate on my artwork for a year.
An opportunity opened up for myself to expand in my creativity, to be a part of the LenZone! youth resource centre as the FReeZA co-ordinator for Ararat and Lake Bolac.
The original committees have already involved themselves within the community, holding local events and are enthusiastic groups, who I hope to work with to expand their ideas and talents.
In one way I hope to bring an artistic flair, creating a visual experience during the events with large canvas paintings by the groups, also anyone else eager to express themselves through art. As in the Ararat LenZone! there is already an art workshop organised by Krystal Xalfa, where young people are free to express themselves in any artistic way with the materials on hand. With enough interest hopefully we will be able to display a large amount of works to the community.
FReeZA is open to any one between the ages 12-25, so anyone with any interest in having a say in the type of events held around the area are more than welcome to join. I can be found at LenZone! Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2-5 and it would be fantastic to meet you.
