My name is Geoff Wake and I hail from Rosedale nestled in between Sale and Traralgon.
I undertook secondary school at Catholic College Sale and enjoyed participating in local sport: football, tennis, golf, cricket, basketball, rowing and squash.
Since 2002 I have been studying Social Science Youth Work at RMIT University in Melbourne. Before undertaking the course I worked in many and varied jobs. The major areas of work were Retail Management, Administration and Hospitality. I spent 18 months in England connecting with my Dads side of the family in North Yorkshire and then enjoyed time in London playing Football (Aussie Rules!) for the North London Lions.
It’s great to be back in a rural setting David, Rhian, Sarah and Margie have made me feel most welcome. The people that I have met from other agencies are eager to improve the education, training and employment outcomes of the young people in Stawell and Ararat. I hope to assist in this process by working with the Stake Holders involved in CGLLEN
I look forward to the challenges associated with improving education, training and employment outcomes of young people in the Central Grampians region!
