Work Experience at LenZone!

Published May 19, 2006

My name is Katrina Londrigan and I’m currently doing year 10 at Lake Bolac College. For my week of work experience this year, I chose to do it at LenZone! in Ararat. I chose to do it at LenZone! because I was looking for something in the community Services field. When I leave school, I’m hoping to be a youth worker so I thought LenZone! would be a good place to do my work experience.

I learnt so much in only five short days. One major thing that I learnt was at a young mums meeting. It made me realise how many teenagers there are out there that have kids, and that they can be just as good parents as anyone else.

I also learnt a lot when we had some Year 7 girls from Ararat Community College came in for a class on body image. I found that to obtain their attention you had to keep it fun.

I enjoyed every day of my work experience and I hope to be back next year!
