Lake Bolac-
On the 25th of August, the Lake Bolac FReeZA committee put on a fantastic show at the Memorial hall.
With a turn out of 85, the crowd dazzled by the lights of a Melbourne Laser light show which projected images across the walls, and when the lights were off all there could be seen were pinks and greens from the glow sticks wrapped around every body as they grooved to the beats of Dj Bj.
We were also lucky enough to be entertained by a couple of break- dancers from Hamilton. Their athletic moves cut the dance floor to pieces and inspired some new dancers to try out their skills on the floor.
Unfortunately, because of the thick haze of smoke from the smoke machine many of the photos did not turn out.
But by the smiles on faces it looked like every one had an awesome time.
Ararat-
Friday the 13th and all the spooks were out and about.
Ararat FReeZA committee had decided that a Halloween themed night would get every one talking and it must have because over 100 people turned up from Ararat, Stawell and Halls gap. It was great to see people put effort into dressing up (face painting on the night enhanced their gruesome characters). The best dressed and the best dancers were all rewarded with help from our sponsors McDonalds, KFC and Leading edge computers.
The Hall was decorated with black, orange and white balloons, spider webs and skeletons hanging around. The FReeZA committee with the help of Robyn Grellet, also painted up a scary scene, which was put up on one of the walls.
A local Dj started the night off, getting everyone in the mood to dance. Then later on, the hall rocked out to the sounds of The Exit City, who are debuting their first album around Melbourne. We finished up around 11:30 then all good ghouls and ghosts went off home to bed.
