Technology for Teenagers is gearing up for Christmas. Thanks to the generous donations from local businesses and individuals we have computers available for distribution to young people who need them. Technology for Teenagers (T4T) aims to put recycled technology in the homes of families with secondary school-age children that would otherwise be unable to afford a home computer.

To be eligible to apply you must live within the local government boundaries of the Ararat Rural City and the Northern Grampians Shire (excluding St Arnaud). Priority will be given to low income families with teenagers aged 15-19 where the provision of a computer will help them stay challenged and motivated at school. Applications must be lodged by Tuesday December 6th. An application form is available from LenZone!

Technology for Teenagers is made possible by generous donations of equipment from businesses and community members. Donors who have made the current round of distribution possible have included the University of Ballarat, Ararat Community College, the Wimmera Sports Assembly, the Ararat Rural City and the West Vic Division of General Practice. If you would like to support the program by donating your surplus equipment please contact LenZone!

Young people can also get involved and get some hands on computer experience by assisting in rebuilding equipment for the T4T program. This work can give credit back into your schooling and gives young people a real work experience of running their own IT business. For information on how to get involved and build your IT skills or show off some hidden technology talents please contact LenZone!
