Ending the school holidays with a splash

CGLLEN treated young people to a day at the pool

The team at Central Grampians LLEN had lots of fun during the second week of the April school holidays. The week started with a dress-up story time at the library, followed by a portrait art session, a cooking session and drone zone.

Central Grampians LLEN hosted an indoor pool party at the Ararat Fitness and Leisure Centre as a way to mark the end of the April school holiday program and simultaneously celebrate the start of Victorian Youth Week (April 13-22).

As part of Victorian Youth Week, Central Grampians LLEN is hosting two additional events: a 3X3 basketball tournament in Ararat (April 15) and a horror disco in Stawell (April 20).

To ensure it really was a pool party, the CGLLEN team equipped young people with water guns and beach balls for a classic splash in the pool. The kids enjoyed swimming, splashing and playing together. Parents were quick to join in on the fun as well.

This was a drug and alcohol-free event as part of Victorian Youth Week. This event is supported by the Victorian Government.

Central Grampians LLEN would like to thank the Ararat Fitness and Leisure Centre for having us, and all the young people and their parents for coming to this community event.

See you next term!
