Character Story Time at the Library

Central Grampians LLEN partners with Library

To kick off the April school holiday program, Central Grampians LLEN partnered with the Ararat Regional Library to host a character story time. Young people were invited to dress up as their favourite characters and listen to a story told by a mysterious character.

Central Grampians LLEN’s Youth Project Officer Amanda dressed up at a brown bear to accompany the picture book ‘Brian the Smelly Bear Smells Something Smelly’, written by Mark Chambers.

After story time, the young people and their parents engaged in a craft activity in which they could make their very own, unique bear masks. Each child walked away with a unique bear face covered in glitter, feathers, and googly eyes.

Central Grampians LLEN thanks everyone who attended and the Ararat Regional Library for their partnership.

Join Central Grampians LLEN for the rest of this week’s school holiday program. We’re hosting events including a portrait art crafting session, cooking in the kitchen (chocolate slice!), drone zone, and an indoor pool party as part of Victorian Youth Week
