Central Grampians Local Learning & Employment Network (CGLLEN)
The Central Grampians LLEN is one of 31 LLENs funded by the Victorian State Department of Education and Training. We are an incorporated association, led by a volunteer Board of Management drawn from a wide range of sectors.
Together with our community partners, the Central Grampians LLEN assists in the delivery of Structured Workplace Learning, training, mentorship, hands-on activities, youth-friendly events and other important skills development initiatives. One of the key priorities is building partnerships to support young people who are at risk of ceasing their education or have left school early.
Central Grampians LLEN Objectives:
- To keep young people engaged in education and training until they have successfully completed Year 12 or its equivalent
- To enhance local job pathways for young people which provide a Year 12 equivalent qualification
- To facilitate transition support for early school leavers who are not in education and training
- To stimulate the development of learning communities which value and encourage family participation
Central Grampians LLEN is also contracted by the Department of Health & Human Services, Office for Youth, to deliver the Engage! and FReeZA programs. We work in partnership with the Ararat Rural City, Northern Grampians Shire and the Pyrenees Shire Councils to deliver the L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program. The Central Grampians LLEN L2P programs are funded by the Transport Accident Commission and managed by VicRoads.
